Music for Weddings, Functions and Festivals
A bit about That Swing Sensation
That Swing Sensation are a group of Scottish
jazz musicians, brought together by Glasgow-based saxophonist Jon Ritchie,
who
play smooth jazz, trad, big band, dance and swing music for weddings, dinners,
festivals, functions and charity events in Scotland.
Able to adapt to most venues, the band prides itself on being able to
put together a programme that will be enjoyed by everyone whether their
taste lies with big band, swing, ballroom, jive or Rock and Roll.
The groups perform at weddings, festivals and functions in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ayr, Stirling and throughout central Scotland in combinations from jazzy duets, through trios, quartets and quintets, up to a full 17 piece big band.
As well as performers, group are experienced producers of a
variety of musical events.
Recent highlights have included..
•Appearances as the resident
band for Glasgow's Winterfest Dances.
•Arranging and performing the programme
for Glasgow's Guinness World Tea Dance Record,
• Producing the closing Big Band Gala show for the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr
