Charity events 2010
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the events we have been playing at this year.
The Kennedy Cupcakes 1940's Charity Ball on April 23 raised a total of £3,200 for Help for Heroes, the East Kilbride and District Dementia Carers group realised nearly £1800 from the Ballerup Ball on 7 May, the Inchinnan Lodge VE Day dance on 8 May raised £1300 for Erskine Hospital and Help for Heroes and last, but not least, the Sax Appeal recitals which have been raising funds for ENABLE Scotland. Well done everyone
Each year the musicians of That Swing Sensation are delighted to be able to dedicate some of their time and efforts to help raise funds for charity. Here is a little information on this years good causes and event dates.

ENABLE Scotland
ENABLE Scotland campaigns for a better life for children and adults with learning disabilities and supports them and their families to live, work and take part in their communities.
ENABLE Scotland is one of the featured charities for the 19 April Sax Appealrecital and Sax Appeal at the Edinburgh Fringe on Saturday 21 August.
Help for Heroes
The money that raised at Help for Heroes is used to support wounded Servicemen and women.
The money raised at The Kennedy Cupcakes Birthday Bash on 23 April will go towards this worthy cause.
East Kilbride & District Dementia Carers Group
Formed in 1991 by the Carers of people with dementia, the East Kilbride & District Dementia Carers Group is a not for profit, registered charity, run by a voluntary management committee. It provides high-quality personalised care for people with dementia, and support for carers and provides information, advice and training to the general public and other organisations.
Our fundraising event for the group takes place on Friday 7 May.
Mary's Meals
Mary’s Meals is an international movement to set up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.
The Charity Fundraiser in Hamilton Town House on 6 October aims to generate funds to help them with their aims.
The Sax Quartet will be providing background muisc for the Artists for Marys Meals Exhibition on 21 June 1am - 9pm daily from June 19-26 at the MacGregor Fine Art Gallery 34 West George Street, Glasgow G2 1DA.
