Come on Glasgow !
Get out your dancing shoes and get the city back in the Record Books.
Sunday, 12th September 2010 , 12 noon-3pm.
18 months ago That Swing Sensation got Glasgow dancing into the record books with the world’s biggest outdoor tea dance. In July 2010 London reclaimed the title with a total of 254 couples.
Glasgow is not taking that sitting down of course so as part of the Glas-goals campaign, the Evening Times, in conjunction with Glasgow Life and Glasgow Housing Association, is hoping to smash that total and win back the record in a spectacular open-air event in George Square.
This time the music is even bigger and better as the full big band takes to the stage with a programme that is sure to have everyone dancing. Dancers of all styles and levels as welcome - experts will be on hand to take you through the steps and help you claim your place in the recordbooks.
It all takes place between 12 noon & 3pm on Sunday 12 September 2010 and by pre-registering your interest now you can make sure you're part of this historic event.
